Strategist, designer & music junkie

My work blends human-centered design with innovative thinking to get results. I’ve been fortunate enough to partner and work with some of the top consumer and technology brands to create award-winning digital experiences.

Live + play

I live and play in Portland, Oregon, where I am a principal UX lead at The Home Depot and an advisor for Free Public Wine designing experiences and conducting qualitative research. At play, you can find me flyfishing for steelhead, cheffing it up on my grill or at many of the live music shows in PDX.

Design + think

Three years ago, I became a certified instructor for the LUMA Institute. Since then I have been teaching and facilitating workshops with executives, product teams and designers using human-centered design thinking methods with Autodesk, The Home Depot and co-hosting the Portland Community Design Thinkers Meetup.

Specialties include Human-centered Design Thinking, User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Usability Evaluation, Qualitative User Research, Mobile Design, Product Design, Digital Strategy and workshop planning & facilitation.

Scott is one of those rare individuals who knows how to challenge, empower and guide an individual as well as the whole team while still being the creative one you want coaching you through design issues. He is very talented and is an amazing facilitator.
