Hi. I’m Scott Mount.
Creative director, designer, facilitator of goodness and live music junkie.

I’ve been fortunate enough to partner and work with some of the top consumer and technology brands to create award-winning digital experiences. My work blends human-centered design with innovative thinking to get results.

Live + play

I live and play in Portland, Oregon, where I am currently a principal UX lead at The Home Depot focused on creating customer-facing experiences and qualitative research. At play, you can find me flyfishing for steelhead, cheffing it up on my grill or at many of the live music shows in PDX.

Design + think

Two years ago, I became a certified instructor for the LUMA Institute teaching and facilitating workshops using human-centered design methods with Autodesk, The Home Depot and co-hosting the Portland Community Design Thinkers Meetup.

Here + there

My past roles include Sr. Manager of UX at Autodesk, UX Design Consultant for a handful of successful SAAS start-ups, launching the PDX office for Liquid Agency as Creative Director of Digital Branding and as a Creative Director for a few agencies in Portland.

Specialties include Human-centered Design Thinking, User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Usability Evaluation, Qualitative User Research, Mobile Design, Product Design and Digital Strategy.

This + that

Scott is one of the rare individuals who know how to challenge, empower and guide the individual as well as the whole team while still being the creative one you want to consult for concept and design issues. He is a very talented UX Professional and an amazing LUMA Instructor facilitating problem-solving and developing innovations.
